Northwest Medical hosts disaster drills

Northwest Medical Centers in Springdale and Bentonville are hosting a community-wide disaster drill at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15. The event is designed to assess staff and facility preparedness in the event of an actual disaster. The hospitals in the community will be notified of a disaster in the area. Students from area schools will participate as mock patients with full injury make-up.

Northwest Health System hospitals conduct individual drills and participate in community-wide drills several times each year to assure systems and processes are in place and to determine areas that need improvement.
